"Greetings.
Ironic that this song could have been written by the great Bard himself for us in
these troubled uncertain times, especialy with reference to verse two. Sounds like
belated advice to the Ukrainian electorate!
I got permission from Bob Marley's publishers to do this video just a few weeks ago.
Here it is . My performance of Bob Marleys "Redemption Songs" in Ukrainian, at The
Big Chill venue Kings Cross, London May 4th "after gig party" on the day I sang
Chervona Ruta to 30,000 in English in Trafalgar Square London.
It was time to sing an English language classic in Ukrainian!

It is , admittedly an adaptation of the song to make it more "Ukrainian experience"
specific, but that is the art of song translation, taking it to the people whos'e
language you are translating it into without losing the essence of the song, which
isnt difficult in our particular case. Also you will find some electoral advice at
