Ukrainian Diaspora in Milan got a great news from Silvio Berlusconi who said he is keen to bring Sheva back to AC Milan.
Despite Carlo Ancelotti's doubts, Milan chief Silvio Berlusconi, who is Godfather for Shevchenko's son, has revealed that he is trying to sign Andriy Shevchenko and expects to succeed.
Rossoneri Coach Ancelotti has hinted that he doesn’t want Sheva to return to the club and the majority of the fans seem to agree judging by recent protests.
However, Berlusconi seems determined to re-sign the 31-year-old, who blasted 127 goals in 208 games form Milan between 1999 and 2006.
“I am trying to bring Shevchenko back and there’s a good chance that it will happen,” the Diavolo chief said on La7.
The Ukrainian international footballer has endured a miserable spell at Chelsea FC since his record-shattering £30m move and would be expected to jump at the chance to return to a happier hunting ground. Shevchenko played against Serbia in an international friendly game and scored a goal for the National soccer team.
But Milan are also targeting Barcelona star Ronaldinho and it is unlikely that both men could be brought in.
Berlusconi also discussed this Saturday’s crunch match against Juventus – a must-win for the world champions if they are to secure Champions League qualification.
“I hope that it is a good game and entertaining to watch,” he stated. “I hope that Milan do what they have always tried to do during my reign – dominate the game and win deservedly.”
