Shevchenko confident of AC Milan return

Chelsea striker Andriy Shevchenko is convinced he's moving back to AC Milan in the summer.

The Mail on Sunday says the Ukrainian has made little impression at Chelsea since his £30 million arrival was orchestrated by his friend Roman Abramovich and sources in Italy are insisting that he has begun house-hunting near Milan after telling friends he was on his way back to the European champions.

After AC Milan's match at Arsenal last month, Shevchenko was in conversation with the club fixer Adriano Galliani who said recently that the Italians needed another striker and that the 31-year-old 'would do fine'.

Shevchenko is believed to have told friends recently that he would 'finish his career at a side that represents my family, I'm going home'.

Former Chelsea flop Shevchenko started the match alongside fellow Ballon d’Or winners Kaka and Ronaldinho, but was substituted at half-time along with the ex-Barcelona star.

Andriy Shevchenko has urged AC Milan to stay united after their dismal 2-0 defeat at Genoa.

“This defeat weighs on the players. It is a difficult moment and we must try to stick together, trying to find a victory so we can get back on track,” said the Ukrainian.

“It’s tricky to say what we are missing at the moment, but it just seems to be a bad time for us.”

“I tried to find space so I could free up my teammates, but the Genoa players did well to close them all down,” continued Sheva.

The pressure is now piling on Carlo Ancelotti, with the shadow of Roberto Donadoni and Frank Rijkaard hanging over him.

“After the final whistle, the Coach told us to stay united and find a win as soon as possible. He is the one who makes the decisions and, if I play, I will always try to give my best.”
