USC Karpaty wins a championship in Toronto soccer league!
Ukrainian Sports Club Karpaty beat English team “Charges” 3:1 in the play off final game that was held at the Hershey Sports Zone complex in Canada. Three other teams made it to the play-offs after a regular season – Croatian club “Hravat B”, “Interpol” and Chargers”. In the semi final match Karpaty beat a strong Polish team “Interpol” by penalty shoot outs, as regulation and extra time ended 2:2. Worth to note that Karpaty came two times after being down in a game, taking it into extra time and then to the penalty kicks.

It is worth to note that club “USC Karpaty” has the best soccer program in all Ukrainian Diaspora for children that want to play soccer. Starting from age four every age group has a certified coach that conducts practices 2-3 times a week and plays games in on of Ontario’s league. Karpaty’s youth teams won a numerous soccer tournaments in Canada and USA.
Even though Karpaty is a Ukrainian Club, and training sessions are conducted in Ukrainian language, children from other nationalities and ethnic backgrounds are currently playing and training with the teams.
U.S.C. Karpaty was officially established in April 2002. Initially, the club was organized to offer children and youth an opportunity to train and develop soccer skills by participating within the Toronto Soccer Association leagues (TSA Youth Development League and CTYSL-Central Toronto Youth Soccer League).
The first years of participation brought many successes including finalist and championship placements within the league and at the international tournaments.
