Okean Elzy will give a concert in Moscow's B1 Maximum Club on November 14, 2008. Slavko Vakarchuk & Co. will play all the best music hits from the previous years.

Songs and video music of Okean Elzy regularly gets top spots in the hit parades on the radio stations and TV channels in Ukraine and Russia. Every year the band is a headliner on many international festivals. In the last 12 years the musicians got a lot of recognitions and awards. The most recent one is in 2006, in three prestigious nominations by the ShowBizAwards – “The Best Rock Band of the year”, “Album of the year” and “Performers of the year. In 2007 – four prizes – Ukrainian Rock Awards.

Interesting if Ukrainian diaspora in Moscow goes for these kind of concerts or this is Russians, that are in love with Slavko Vakarchuk's Okean Elzy.

All tickets for 1,500 rubles($50.00) are sold out for the concert hall that is for 2,500 people plus vip tickets that are more than 6,000 rubles ($250.00).

A few times I heard their music play on various radio stations in Moscow, so not sure if people like them so much or the concert organizers did a good job promoting the concert, but anyways, almost all people I have asked, they know who Okean Elzy are and like their music.

A few photos from the concert, it was really amazing, tons of positive energy and emotions. Slavko Vakarchuk is such a good ambassador of Ukrainian language and culture.

When the original Okean Elzy members Pavlo Gudimov and Dmytro Xustochka left the group I thought that band would be history, but it actually did not effect them at all, what does it mean strong and inspiring leader. Vakarchuk have created one of the most recognized brand name in show business on the territory of former USSR. Every young person I have asked in Moscow about Okean Elzy, they know them, even my English friend from the Isle of Man Steve, has 21 tracks and sons like "911" and "Susy" are one of his favorites.
